a Figures should be treated with caution. Only 35% of pupils who had only sniffed volatile substances answered this question and this subsample may be subject to bias (see section 1.4). For this reason, a total column has not been shown on this table, and analysis is restricted to those who on their first occasion of taking drugs only took cannabis or only sniffed volatile substances or took any Class A drugs.
